Before and After Pictures: Day 5

Here are some side-by-side before and after pictures that I finally was able to make using the collage feature on Picnik.com. Sorry the zooms aren't equal, but you get the gist. I have both smiling and non-smiling pictures from all three angles.

Dr. Haas is clearly an artist.  I am just in awe that he was able to turn my old nose into my new nose at all, especially without me having incredible amounts of pain, swelling, and bruising afterward.  And the whole surgery only took him 45 minutes. Also, remember how I was obsessing over whether or not to tell him I wanted more done than just removing the hump?  No need... the man knows what he is doing.  Needless to say, I'm pleased!

    Here's my question: If you were my co-worker, and I knew you pretty well, would it be okay to ask if you had the procedure done? Or as someone who has had this, would you prefer if people didn't ask or comment?

    To answer your question: It depends on if we are actually friends or not. I saw an old coworker today who I consider a friend, and when she didn't say anything for about 5 minutes I exploded with "I can't believe you haven't noticed anything different about me!" But when I get back to my current job, the people there are strictly coworkers who I'm friendly with, and I am dreading being asked about it!

    Kate !! Amazing !! You looked pretty before but now wow you look beautiful !
    One question, im having a rhino too in september, very scared, and will your smile be back to normal ? I guess your dr cuted the depressor muscle ? (sorry im french)

    Kjij- My smile is big again! I think I was just sore and swollen in those pictures, since it was only five days after my surgery. Good luck to you!

    I would have to agree that your surgeon is an artist! It really looks great. :D Choosing a great doctor and a good surgical clinic would really make a difference in your cosmetic procedure experience. It would be advisable to avoid physical contact to the nose for up to six weeks. Thanks for sharing your experience. :)

    Nice, Kate! You can really spot the difference with the arc of your nose line. Actually, most people are not aware of the functional benefits of rhinoplasty. They think that it is just for aesthetic purposes. Truth is, it also helps solve breathing problems, and can be performed both on men and women who are at least 16 years old.

    Wow... really great result. You look much better and you definitely needed a procedure like this. However, I'm in the same situation... I'm not satisfied of my nose... it's too big and I want to undergo a nose surgery by Dr. Edelstein, because I've heard it's the best surgeon in Toronto. Have you heard something about him?

    While there is really no guarantee with any surgical procedure, rhinoplasty generally has good results. Those who require the surgery for breathing issues are usually able to notice a difference soon after the surgery is completed and the swelling has subsided.
